Hi TT, I just read your article on gold star mothers from a year or so ago and was moved. I am a 30 year Coast Guard retiree and my brother and sister-in-law are gold star parents. I would like permission to record the article and put it on a CD which will be offered for a minimal donation at VFW Post 1724 in Willimantic, CT around Christmas time. I don’t sing, but I have done several “speaking songs” such as “A Soldier’s Night Before Christmas” and “Deck of Cards” which have been included with a dozen or so patriotic songs done by local artists. If you approve, I’ll send you a copy for free.
